The Direct Energy Essentials Plans ("Plan") are provided by Home Warranty of America, Inc., a Direct Energy company. Direct Energy's affiliates, franchisees, and/or independent contractors will be performing various services under the Plan. Customers must sign up for 1-year commitment (the "Initial Term").There is a 30-day waiting period before coverage begins under the repair plan. Upon expiration of the Initial Term, the Plan will automatically renew at our then current standard rate and terms unless the customer opts out of the auto-renewal option in writing by mail at P.O. Box 500, Lincolnshire, IL 60069 or by email at cancel@hwahomewarranty.com. Sales tax will be added in select states. Won't my homeowners insurance cover plumbing?

Your homeowners insurance may not cover the repair of interior plumbing lines and drains. Our plumbing protection plans can cover some or all of these costs; they can also include inspections that can help you avoid expensive damage and repairs in the future.

What kind of plumbing plans do we offer?

Maintenance Essentials: Includes an annual inspection for leaks and other potential plumbing issues for only $9.99 per month, as well as a discount on any needed repairs.

Repair & Maintenance Essentials: Includes all the features of our maintenance only plan, and also covers your interior plumbing lines valve-to-valve. This includes leaks from the interior water, waste or drain lines for only $18.99 per month; this protection plan covers up to $500 per repair incident, up to $2,000 annually.

Plumbing Repair & Maintenance Plan + Water Heater Repair PLUS Plan: In addition to the Repair & Maintenance Essentials coverage described above, this plan covers your water heater and includes a $500 credit toward replacement should you need a new unit – all for just $27.99 a month.

What do our plans include?

We offer plans to suit a variety of needs. Repair plans include all trip charges, labor and parts for covered repairs; they cover up to $500 per incident and up to $2,000 annually. Maintenance plans include an annual plumbing safety inspection, leak check and water heater inspection. See Terms and Conditions for complete coverage details.

What options do I have to pay for this service?

We accept bank drafts (EFT/ACH) and credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover).

How long does this coverage last?

Each plan lasts for one year. At our election, the plan will automatically renew on an annual basis at the then-current standard rate unless the customer opts out of the auto-renewal option in writing by mail at P.O. Box 500, Lincolnshire, IL 60069 or by email at cancel@hwahomewarranty.com.

When does the plan coverage start?

There is a 30-day waiting period before coverage begins during the initial term year for the repair plans. If you choose the maintenance only plan, coverage begins immediately.

Can you cancel your plumbing plan if you're not satisfied?

If you haven't received services under the plan you may cancel at any time without penalty. If you have received services, and you cancel before the end of the 12-month term, then you may owe the lesser of the amount due for the unexpired term or the cost of the services under the plan. Please refer to Section 12 in the Terms and Conditions for full details.

What happens after the 12 months?

We may elect to renew your plan by notifying you of the renewal terms (including any price changes) within 60 days prior to expiration of coverage. Unless we elect not to renew your plan, you will be automatically renewed for another one year term at the then standard rate and terms unless you notify us, in writing, prior to the plan expiration at PO Box 500, Lincolnshire, IL 60069 or by email at cancel@hwahomewarranty.com.
