**The $500 credit applies to a covered item that falls during the contract term and is deemed by the technician to be irreparable.
Direct Energy's affiliates, franchisees, and/or independent contractors will be performing various services under the Plan. Customers must sign up for 1-year commitment (the "Initial Term").There is a 30-day waiting period before coverage begins. Upon expiration of the Initial Term, the Plan will automatically renew at our then current standard rate and terms unless the customer opts out of the auto-renewal option in writing by mail at P.O. Box 500, Lincolnshire, IL 60069 or by email at cancel@hwahomewarranty.com. Sales tax will be added in select states. How do the Kitchen and Laundry Room Repair Essentials PLUS Plans help me?

If the major appliances in your home break down, your basic homeowners insurance is unlikely to cover the repairs. Our protection plans cover you against the expense of appliance failures due to normal wear and tear. Our plans also alleviate the stress of finding a reliable technician when a repair is needed.

What does the Kitchen Repair Essentials PLUS Plan cover?

This plan covers all parts and components necessary for operation of your covered appliances: residential ranges, ovens or cooktops, kitchen refrigerators and built-in microwaves. Parts covered include items like dishwasher pumps and motors, refrigerator thermostats, oven ignitors and much more. Included appliances are covered for up to $2,000 in total annually*.

What does the Laundry Room Repair Essentials PLUS Plan cover?

This plan covers all parts and components necessary for operation of your clothes washer and dryer, including items like your washing machine pump and the heating element and motor in your dryer. Included appliances are covered for up to $2,000 in total annually*.

What states are the Kitchen and Laundry Room Repair Essentials PLUS Plans available in?

Kitchen and laundry plans are available in all states and Washington, D.C., with the exception of California, Alaska and Hawaii.

How long am I covered by the plan?

You are covered under the plan for 12 months. We may elect to renew your plan by notifying you of the renewal terms (including any price changes) within 60 days prior to expiration of coverage.

Unless we elect not to renew your plan, you will be automatically renewed for another one year term at the then standard rate and terms.

If you do not want to automatically renew your plan, you may notify us in writing prior to the plan expiration date.

When does the plan coverage start?

There is a 30-day waiting period before coverage begins during the initial term year for the plans.

Can I cancel my plan if I'm not satisfied?

If you haven't received services under the plan, you may cancel the plan at any time without penalty.

If you have received services under the plan and you cancel before the end of the 12-month term, then you may owe the lesser of the amount due for the unexpired term or the cost of the services under the plan.
